Working with grief requires time, space, presence, and commitment.
Throughout my years of working with clients and myself, I have defined and refined the container that supports the most easeful, efficient, and integrative ways for people to be in this work and unfolding. I ask my clients to be willing and able to make time to be present with themselves before and after the sessions, to build a grief altar, to make consistent, daily time (amount of your choosing) to be spent at grief altar, and to spend time in nature. There will also be the option for homeplay missions should you feel you are willing, able, and it would be of benefit to you. Please let me know that you are willing and able to do this during our time of working together.
Yes I agree to be quiet and reflective with myself for at least 30 mins immediately before and after each session with Mikyö
Yes I agree to build a grief altar and/or find a private spot in nature to be my grief altar
Yes I agree to spend time at my grief altar on a daily basis. The amount being however much time works best for me, at least 1 min or more, that I can consistently do.
Yes I agree to spend time in nature between sessions
Yes I agree to possible homeplay between sessions in which I will have the agency to choose what works best for me ahead of time.
Self-Awareness and Boundaries
The depth of this work requires some level of self-awareness, boundaries, and the capacity to ask for what you are needing from a place of openness and maturity. I will be attuned and present with you and your needs to the best of my ability. And if you are a no to something during a session, please let me know and I will change course. It is up to you to be responsible for yourself in the moment.
I am also committed to spending time in presence before and after sessions so that we can get the most out of our time together. I'm in it with you. I will be available by text if you need me in between your sessions. And it is up to you to reach out if needed. You and your freedom matter deeply to me. I am here in support for you to feel and be empowered in your relating with grief, life, and our work together.
I agree to communicate my 'No' or other boundaries to Mikyö when needed to the best of my ability
I agree to take responsibility for myself to the best of my ability
I understand that Mikyö is available by text between sessions and it is up to me to reach out for support if needed
